When I lived In LA, we had a lime tree in our backyard, None of the other roomates were intrested in it until I started picking about 2 dozen and making limeade.

I perfer lemonade, Ice cold with thin slices of lemon floating in the pitcher...Uhmmmm goooood! [img]wink.gif[/img]

I wish I had a lemon tree. Looks like our weather is fixing to climb into the 90s. Yuck.

When I first moved to California, I stayed up in Oxnard, and the house had a big backyard, We had orange, apricots, & lemon trees. Our neighbor had a grapefruit tree that hung over our wall, so I claimed what was on our side as mine.

I can't remember the name of the Cactus that was growing in our front yard, but it was nearly 5 foot tall and would have red nubs where the flowers bloomed, after the flower fell away you could eat the nub, it had a flavor like vanilla.
